LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) _ John Lackey pitched a complete game and Trent Durrington added two homeruns as the Arkansas Travelers beat the Tulsa Drillers 8-1 Monday.
Lackey (4-3) allowed four hits and one run, and leads the Texas League in complete games and innings pitched. He also retired 11 of the last 12 batters he faced.
Durrington, who just came to the Texas League's Travelers (21-16) from Las Vegas, had a pair of two-run home runs.
Matt Beech took the loss for the Drillers.
Travelers catcher Jason Hill started the scoring with a one-out solo homer in the third inning. In the fourth, Durrington led off with a double, and Gary Johnson gave Arkansas a 2-0 lead with a single up the middle to score Durrington. The Travelers never looked back.
In the seventh, Hill singled to center field to score Jeff Guiel for the Travelers' final run of the game.
The Travelers head out of town for a nine-game road trip, beginning Tuesday in Shreveport, La.
