SALAZAR crashes during pre-qualification practice

(Indianapolis-AP) -- Eliseo Salazar has crashed during the final practice session before the start of today's qualifications for the Indianapolis 500.
Salazar apparently blew an engine going into the first turn, made a half spin and hit the wall with the left side of his car. He was not injured.
Qualifications are set to begin at 11 o'clock (e-s-t) this morning.
During the morning practice, the fastest driver has been Tony Stewart at 226-point-996 miles per hour.
Gil de Ferran had a top lap of 225-point-620. Greg Ray, Robby Gordon and Mark Dismore all were over 224 miles per hour.
