(Colorado Springs, Colorado-AP) -- Oklahoma women's basketball coach Sherri Coale will be an assistant coach of the 2001 U-S women's national junior team.

Coale has coached the Sooners to back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances in the N-C-A-A Women's Tournament. O-U has also set a school record for victories each of the past two seasons.

The team's head coach will be Connecticut's Geno Auriemma.
