(Tulsa-AP) -- The parent company of Oklahoma Natural Gas is reporting a first-quarter earnings increase of 39% this year.

ONEOK says it earned almost 65 million dollars during the first three months of 2001, compared to just more than 46-and-a-half million during the first-quarter last year.

Tulsa-based ONEOK is involved in the production of oil and gas and processing of natural gas. It's the largest natural gas distributor in Oklahoma and Kansas.
