OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Peter Euler and Kim A. Bricker won the men's and women's divisions of the inaugural Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon on Sunday.
Euler, of Pittsburg, Kan., was timed at 2 hours, 37 minutes, 12 seconds, beating David Keller, of Wichita, Kan., by 30 seconds (2:37:42).
Eric R. Overby, of Austin, Minnesota, finished third at 2:40:23, followed by David Riden, of Oklahoma City, at 2:49:46 and Chris Crawford, of Dallas, in fifth, finishing 2:49:58.
Bricker, of Edmond, was timed at 3 hours, 12 minutes, 31 seconds. She finished more than six minutes ahead of Tracey Evans, of Woodward.
Katherine Carey, of Fort Worth, Texas, came in third at 3:20:17; Angela Catherine Prescott, of Oklahoma City, finished fourth with 3:22:44 and Audrey Dirksen, of Gunnison Colo., came in fifth with 3:23:39.
There was no prize money. All proceeds from the marathon went to the Oklahoma City National Memorial.
