A Tulsa minister has been bending the ear of President Bush.
Tulsa Pastor Carlton Pearson has met twice with the president to talk about a federal program that would fund religious organizations that provide human services.
People against the plan say the money will be used to convert people.
Pearson says otherwise.
Bishop Carlton Pearson, Pastor Higher Dimensions "This is a cross-cultural, cross-denominational, ecumenical, non-distinctively religious appeal. It's just, the government is saying listen, we're failing. These people have been doing it, they have a proven track record of success with hurting people... substance abuse, counseling, life skills."
Pearson will speak this Wednesday in Washington D-C at the first ever House-Senate, Republican, Faith-based Leadership Summit .
