(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The Reverend Jesse Jackson has been released from the Oklahoma County Jail after being arrested on a trespassing complaint.
Jackson was released about 8:30 this morning after he and dozens of others were arrested during a peaceful demonstration at a women's prison yesterday. Jackson and the others were protesting tonight's scheduled execution of Wanda Jean Allen.
Jackson says he's still hoping Governor Keating will stop the execution. If not, he says he will provide moral support to her.
Keating has agreed to consider a stay based on whether the state Pardon and Parole Board had enough information about Allen's education.
Her execution by lethal injection is to begin at 9:00 tonight.
