LOS ANGELES (AP) — Actress Courtney Thorne-Smith's six-month marriage is on the rocks.
The former star of ``Melrose Place'' and ``Ally McBeal'' and genetic scientist Andrew Conrad will remain friends but they are no longer a couple, she said in a statement released Thursday by publicist Jim Broutman.
They were married June 2 during a small Hawaii ceremony and reception.
``Andy and I have made a mutual decision to separate,'' Thorne-Smith said. ``There are no third parties involved.''
Conrad, 36, owner of a biotechnology firm, and Thorne-Smith, 32, had shared a Malibu estate.
