(Ponca City-AP) -- Still recovering from an August automobile wreck, Kay County Sheriff Craig Countryman has been sworn into office at his home.

Countryman was unopposed in the November election and was sworn in by District Judge D-W Boyd.

The sheriff was injured in a car wreck while returning from a convention in Oklahoma City and is still undergoing treatment and has more surgery scheduled.
