EDEN, Idaho (AP) — Two sheriff's deputies and a suspect were shot to death after the officers tried to serve a narcotics warrant at a home, authorities said.
The gunfire erupted Wednesday evening after Jerome County deputies arrived at the house in Eden, a town of 300 residents 10 miles east of Twin Falls.
Two of the officers tried to serve a warrant and were fatally shot by someone inside, State Police Capt. David Neal said.
Neal said a suspect also was killed and no one else was wounded.
Neal declined to release any more information about the investigation and would not say whether there were additional suspects.
Law officers, visibly upset by the shooting, roped off the house and a surrounding block in the modest neighborhood to investigate.
Names of the victims weren't released.
