(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A women's firefighting team from Oklahoma City has been stripped of a world championship title because a team member failed a drug test.

The five women had won the Firefighter Combat Challenge in November in competition against other teams from across the country.

The name of the firefighter who failed the drug test and the substance she tested positive for using were not released.

Fire Department spokesman Major Brian Stanaland says the drug screening was for substances that are banned by the N-C-Double-A.

He says there will be no disciplinary action against the woman who failed the drug test because the city doesn't sponsor the team.

Stanaland says firefighters in the city are not required to take random drug tests, but can be tested if someone is suspected of using illegal drugs.
