(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The State Education Board has revoked the license of a former Broken Arrow teacher who was convicted of molesting an eighth-grade cheerleader.

Cynthia Alexander taught at Childers Middle School when she was accused of the molestation in 1999. She is serving a nine-year prison sentence.

It's the ninth time this year the board has revoked a teacher's license State law says licenses must be revoked if a teacher is convicted of a felony or any other crime of moral turpitude.
