(Tulsa-AP) -- Athletic department officials at Oral Roberts are hoping for at least four-thousand fans for tomorrow night's game against Southern Utah.
The Golden Eagles are 3-and-oh for the first time in three years and will have no competition from either college or high school football, or cross-town rival Tulsa.
O-R-U has averaged just more than 37-hundred fans per game for the first three games, and is on a pace for its lowest average home attendance since the 1994-95 season.
Marketing director Scott Higgins believes the answer to the falling attendance is wins. O-R-U averaged more than five-thousand fans per game during the 1996-97 season when the Golden Eagles went 21-and-7 and played in the post season N-I-T.
