Tulsa Police warn robbery season is upon us. November, December and January are the worst months of the year for armed robberies. Tulsa had 47 armed robberies in October and already, 48 in the first two weeks of November.
A man robbed Edna Avery at gunpoint election night when she got home from work. Police say the same suspects robbed five people the same way, the same night. "I just thank God he didn't shoot me,†said Avery. I could have been dead right there."
Currently, detectives are tracking three teams of serial robbers. The team that's following people home from midtown stores. A team that's robbing video rental stores, and rental centers. And a team that wears surgeon's masks and hooded sweatshirts while robbing convenience stores.
