(Norman-AP) -- The leader of the high-powered Oklahoma offense may not be flashy or full of glitz.

He's just ``exceptional'' according to head coach Bob Stoops.

Senior Josh Heupel spends much of his time watching film. In fact, Stoops says Heupel spent most of his recruiting visit watching videotape instead of seeing the sights.

He's described as humble and soft-spoken and says he pays no attention to what's being written and said about him.

Kansas State coach Bill Snyder says he's a great decision maker with poise and toughness.

Heupel says he's the same quarterback and person he was at Weber State and Snow Junior college before he transferred to Oklahoma.

He says he just hopes to take advantage of the talent he was given and use his position to reach a lot of people.
