(Tulsa-AP) -- A former nursing home worker faces charges of slapping an 86-year-old resident and shoving a soiled glove into her mouth.
Tulsa County prosecutors today charged Doris Jean Ellis with two counts of caretaker abuse.
The charges stem from two episodes at Green Country Care Center, where Ellis was a certified nurse's aide before she was fired.
Investigators say the incidents allegedly occurred in June and July when the patient spit in Ellis' face and at another nurse's aide.
Ellis is accused of slamming her hand with the spit on the palm into the woman's face and rubbing it in the first incident.
Ellis allegedly slapped the woman twice in the second incident and put her hand with a stool-soiled glove in the resident's mouth.
