(Tulsa, Oklahoma-AP) -- On Saturday night, two college football teams that haven't had winning seasons in years will duel in Tulsa's Skelly Stadium for first place in the Western Athletic Conference.
Both Texas-El Paso and Tulsa are certain they can win.
Both teams were predicted to finish in the bottom half of the W-A-C. They each bring first-year coaches who predict that they can make their teams consistent winners, starting this season.
The Miners have had only two winning seasons since 19-70 -- 19-87 and 19-88. Tulsa hasn't had a winning season since its Freedom Bowl championship team in 19-91.
