(Tulsa-AP) -- Tulsa coach Keith Burns says it would be shortsighted to sell winless Hawaii short.

Burns says Hawaii hasn't hit on all cylinders yet but he thinks the team will be very good when it does.

They haven't so far.

Hawaii opened this season with a 45-to-20 loss to Division One-double-A Portland State. The Warriors lost their conference opener 39-to-7 to U-TEP.

All that after tying for the WAC championship last season with a 9-to-4 record and winning the Jeep Oahu Bowl 23-to-17 against Oregon State.

Tulsa also got off to an oh-and-2 start, but things have been looking up since then. The Golden Hurricane are coming off consecutive wins over Rice and Louisiana Tech.

Tulsa will travel Hawaii Saturday.
