(Langley-AP) -- Authorities say a man whose body was found in a ditch after he walked away from a private home for the mentally disabled died of natural causes.

Thirty-six-year-old Jerry Garcia was discovered by a passing motorist near Oklahoma Highway 28. He had been missing from the home for two days.

Mayes County authorities say Garcia was found in a high-grass area 21 feet from the pavement.

The Mayes County Sheriff's office says Garcia walked about three miles from Sunny Acres, which is located northwest of Langley. He was going to the grocery store.

Authorities say Garcia had been dead for two days and had a medical history of liver problems.

Authorities say residents from the home are free to roam the area.
