A woman was killed Friday morning when she ran onto a highway in Creek County.

The highway patrol says the woman and her boyfriend were arguing in their home, then took the fight outside to Highway 48.

That's when a pick-up truck hit them both.

Troopers say the driver of the truck never had a chance to react.

"He was headed southbound on 48. He came up on the pedestrians. They walked right out in the middle of the road. He had no time to take any action," says Todd Blaylock, Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The woman died at the scene, and her boyfriend suffered minor injuries.

The truck driver wasn't hurt.
