Tulsa-AP-- Tulsa football coach Keith Burns says he wants his team to focus on the one thing it can control in its season opener against North Carolina Saturday -- its own performance.
Senior Guard Steve Wiedower says Burns has told T-U players they can't worry about the other team's personnel, they can only worry about doing their own jobs.
North Carolina returns ten defensive starters. End Julius Peppers and linebacker Brandon Spoon are among the best in the country.
Burns says that while his players have to be aware of standouts like Peppers and Spoon, they can't exclusively focus on them.
