(Tulsa-AP) -- New coach Keith Burns says he's pleased with the Tulsa Golden Hurricane's first practice in three months.
Burns says yesterday's drills looked more like a continuation of spring than a new beginning. Quarterback Josh Blankenship said that was the goal.
He said the team's returning players wanted to look as if they hadn't missed a beat during the summer's layoff.
Burns says the team as a whole performed well and Blankenship and Donald Shoals in particular were impressive.
