(Muskogee-AP) -- It took less than an hour of deliberation for a federal jury to find a Sallisaw chiropractor guilty of evading $64,000 in taxes.
Prosecutors alleged James E. Turner grossed as much as $270,000 per year during 1992, 1993 and 1994. But they say Turner didn't pay his taxes.
The jury also found him guilty of failing to file income tax returns for 1995 and 1996. Turner faces a possible prison term of 17 years and fines not exceeding $950,000.
