TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Tulsa assistant basketball coach Mike Shepherd has resigned to join the Atlanta Hawks' staff as an advanced scout, Tulsa coach Kathy McConnell-Miller said.
Shepherd rejoins the staff of Lon Kruger after one season with the women's team in Tulsa.
"The opportunity to work in the NBA and with a person I have spent 13 years with is a once in a lifetime chance," Shepherd said.
He worked with Kruger at Florida and Illinois after having been a basketball manager with him at Kansas State.
