(Olathe, Kansas-AP) -- Shawnee native Brooke Fincher has qualified for the upcoming U-S Women's Amateur Golf Championship. Fincher placed fourth at the qualifying tournament Monday at the Shadow Glen Golf Course. She shot a five-over-par 77 to advance to U-S Amateur next month.

She is the only Oklahoman to finish in the top five and was the youngest player in the 30-entrant field. Fincher will be a red shirt freshman this fall at Oral Roberts University.
