(Plant City, Florida-AP) -- A former Oklahoma State All-America softball player played a big role in a win for the U-S-A Softball Women's National team.
Michele Smith allowed just two hits and struck out 15 in a1-zero win over the Tampa Bay Fire Stix of the Women's Pro Softball League yesterday. Smith walked nobody, pushing her number of walkless innings to32.
The women's national team is playing the four teams of the W-P-S-L and has posted three straight one-run wins.
The national team scored its only run when Jennifer Brundage scored on a one-out single by Leah O-Brien-Amico.
