(Stillwater-AP) -- Oklahoma State football coach Bob Simmons admits he's a demanding coach. But some past assistant coaches say the coach is downright difficult.

Whatever the case, there have been more than a dozen assistant coaches who have come and gone in Simmons' five-year tenure at the school.

Simmons denies being overly hard to work for and says money and better jobs thin out the coaching staff at O-S-U -- just like they do on college football staffs across the country.

This year, Simmons has four new assistants, including both offensive and defensive coordinators. The coach says he considers the recent moves a coaching upgrade that will help develop the Cowboys well into the future.
