(Tulsa-AP) -- A Tulsa woman convicted in the shootings of two sisters -- one fatally -- gets 35 years in prison.

A Tulsa jury gave Tonia Monique Freeman a 30-year sentence after finding her guilty of second-degree murder in the death of 52-year-old Connie Faye Jones.

The jury handed Freeman five years on a conviction of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon for wounding 50-year-old Janice Wilson.

Jones and Wilson had been shot early on December 11th at a building where they attended a party.

Evidence indicated Freeman had fired four shots from a .380-caliber semiautomatic pistol. That came after an argument that started over a bottle of liquor being removed from a table during clean-up and closing preparations.

Evidence indicated there had been an argument involving Wilson and Freeman's mother.

Freeman insisted she acted in self defense.
