Click here to listen to live audio of the conference. The University of Illinois has scheduled a news conference at one o'clock this afternoon to introduce a new coach. And all signs point to Bill Self.

Various reports this morning indicate Self is the choice to replace Lon Kruger, who left last month to coach the Atlanta Hawks.

The Champaign News-Gazette, the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun-Times all report that Self has accepted the job. He's been head coach at Tulsa for the past three seasons, compiling a 74-and-27 record and two N-C-A-A tournament appearance.

The Tribune and Sun-Times both quote sources saying Self will get a five-year contract worth between $900,000 and $1 million per year.

Self's Tulsa team went to the N-C-A-A regional finals this season and finished at 32-and-5.
