OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals has set July 20 as the execution date for convicted murderer Gregg Francis Braun, the state Attorney General's Office says.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday had refused to consider an appeal filed by Braun, whose 1989 four-state crime spree left five people dead.

Braun was given the death penalty for the July 21, 1989, murder of Gwendolyn Sue Miller, 31, at Dodson's Floral shop in Ardmore. Miller was employed at the shop and was killed during an armed robbery.

Braun is one of five Oklahoma death row inmates scheduled to die.

Charles Adrian Foster is scheduled to die May 25 for the 1983 murder of 74-year-old Claude Wiley in Muskogee.

James Glen Robedeaux is scheduled to die June 1 for the 1985 death of Nancy Rose Lee McKinney, 37, at her Oklahoma City apartment.

Roger James Berget is scheduled to be executed June 8 for the 1985 murder of Rick Patterson, 33, a school teacher in Moore.

William Clifford Bryson Jr. is scheduled to die June 15 for the 1988 killing of an Oklahoma City man, Jim Plantz, in a murder conspiracy case. Plantz' wife, Marilyn, is also on death row.
