(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The Kentucky Derby was a good draw for Remington Park.

The track in Oklahoma City showed dramatic increases on Saturday. Attendance was up 40 percent from 1999.

The crowd count of more than 9,700 was boosted by a country music concert in the infield after the races.

Bettors put more than $296,000 on the Derby, an increase of 39 percent.
