(Irving, Texas-AP) -- The Dallas Cowboys have signed former Oklahoma linebacker Joe Bowden to a two-year deal.
The Cowboys made the move to get the Dallas native Bowden a day after they traded for Chris Bordano.
The 30-year-old Bowden says he's probably been a Cowboy all his life -- growing up watching the Cowboys play when he was a kid.
Bowden says its like a family reunion for him because he gets to come home.
Bowden has spent his eight-year N-F-L career with the Oilers, now known as the Titans. He started 84 of 123 games and recorded a career-high 145 tackles as a middle linebacker two years ago.
He played at O-U from 1989 to 1991.
The deal pays Bowden the minimum for a veteran at $440,000 dollars with a signing bonus of less than $400,000.
