(Davis-AP) -- A bankruptcy judge has ordered a former owner of Arbuckle Wilderness to pay more than $400,000 to creditors as part of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization.
In a March 23rd opinion, Judge Tom Cornish of Okmulgee accused Lena Clancy and her son of helping themselves to all available cash and assets after it became clear they wouldn't be able to make enough money from a park sale to get out of debt.
Clancy disputed Cornish's ruling and says she's appealed the decision.
She was a 30 percent owner of Honey Creek Entertainment in 1994 when it bought Arbuckle Wilderness.
She filed for Chapter 11 in 1997, listing $3.4 million owed to creditors. A court-appointed trustee was named to run the park in February 1999.
Texas rancher Wayne Shambo bought the park for $1.1 million. It's open for business.
