(Del City-AP) -- Thousands of them are still out there floating around. They're photographs -- sent dancing free from houses turned inside-out by the May Third tornadoes.
Almost a year after the deadly twisters, about 15-thousand lost photographs have found their way to a computer lab at the Del City Metro Tech campus. That's the unofficial headquarters of the Photo O-K Project, a sort of lost-and-found for images people lost to the storm.
Photographer Kenn Bird started the project by simply gathering up lost photos and displaying them for people to come and recover.
The project has since grown to include a Metro Tech computer graphic design class, who volunteered to keep albums of the photos and operate a C-D library of the images. Bird says thousands have been recovered, but that more are coming in all the time.
