(Undated-AP) -- Railroad depots along Amtrak's Heartland Flyer route are busy places since the passenger service began almost a year ago.
The Norman Arts and Humanities Council has decided to pull out of the old depot in Norman because of the popularity of the restored train service. The council had moved to the depot six months ago and now it's headed for Campus Corner.
The council's president Kelley Pace says increased train traffic was the main reason for the move.
Efforts are under way to renovate the building to use the north end of the depot as a waiting area.
Meanwhile, further down the line in Ardmore, the Great American Station Foundation has awarded $10,000 dollars for revitalization of that station.
The check was presented yesterday in a meeting in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Heartland Flyer provides daily service between Oklahoma City and Fort Worth.
