(Pearl Harbor, Hawaii-AP) -- Disney hopes to feature a famed U-S aircraft carrier in its upcoming film epic about the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
But the way Disney plans to use the U-S-S "Lexington" is making some Pearl Harbor survivors upset.
The film's producers want the Lexington to portray the Japanese carrier whose planes carried out the bombing raid.
The Lexington, which served in World War II, is now a floating museum in Corpus Christi, Texas.
A member of the Corpus Christi chapter of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association calls the plan a disservice to the soldiers who died in the Pacific.
But the head of the museum points out that the Lexington was used as a stand-in for a Japanese vessel in the 1976 movie "Midway." She says the controversy is overstated.
