(Denver-AP) -- So much for keeping the new book by John and Patsy Ramsey under wraps.
"The Death of Innocence" wasn't supposed to go on sale until Friday.
But The Chinook Bookstore in Colorado Springs, Colorado, put copies on sale this past Saturday.
Store owner Dick Noyes says he never got any notice from the publishers. But he's heard from them now.
Noyes says the president of Thomas Nelson Publishing called --very irate -- and told him he was a sinner.
The publisher -- a company that specializes in books with religious themes -- is apparently very serious about the embargo. A book buyer in Boulder says he had to sign an affidavit swearing he would not sell it early.
The book is an attempt by John and Patsy Ramsey to answer questions surrounding the 1996 murder of their beauty-queen daughter JonBenet.
