(Kansas City, Missouri-AP) -- Marcus Fizer scored 22 points to help top-seeded Iowa State defeat third-seeded Oklahoma in the Big 12 tournament.
The win was the Cyclones' third in as many days. And the 70-to-58 win came to the only Big 12 team Iowa had not defeated this season.
The win gives the seventh-ranked Cyclones their first regular season conference championship in 55 years. At 29-and-four, they also set a school record for victories.
The Cyclones were up 30-to-13 before the 15th-ranked Sooners rallied at the end of the first half for a score of 35-to-25.
Iowa State went on an eight-and-oh run to lead 46-to-27 with 13:11 to play. Michael Nurse had 14 points and Jamaal Tinsley added 13 for the Cyclones. Eduardo Najera led Oklahoma with 19 points.
