(Lawrence-AP) -- Freshmen Drew Gooden and Kirk Hinrich each made two free throws over the final 12 seconds today and Number 23 Kansas held on for an 83-to-82 victory over Missouri.
After Hinrich gave the Jayhawks an 83-to-80 lead with 7.6 seconds remaining, Missouri's Clarence Gilbert tipped in Keyon Dooling's miss with one-tenth of a second to go.
Dooling and Jeff Hafer hit consecutive 3-pointers to launch 3-to-2 Missouri rally after Nick Bradford's free throw had given the Jayhawks a 77-to-67 lead with 4:20 left in the Big 12's regular season finale.
T-J Soyoye's two free throws put Missouri (17-11, 10-6) on top 80-to-79. Kansas (22-8, 11-5) in bounded the ball with 39 seconds remaining, and Hafer was called for an intentional foul as Gooden darted to the basket for what would have been a lay up.
