A Claremore man died and his wife was hospitalized after thei rcar struck a horse and a utility pole and flipped on its roof early Sunday, authorities said. The accident occurred just off Highway 20 west of Claremore, the klahoma Highway Patrol said.
Anthony Joseph Allen, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, 39-year-old Patricia Allen, who was driving the car, was taken to a Tulsa hospital and listed only in stable condition. The patrol said both were wearing seatbelts and were pinned in the vehicle after the accident.
