VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) -- Ivan Vujic's jumper in the final three seconds gave Valparaiso a 60-59 win over Oral Roberts on Saturday. Reggie Tate's lay up with 20 seconds left put Oral Roberts up 59-58. After Vujic's basket, Oral Roberts (10-13, 6-5 Mid-Continent Conference) called a time out, but was unable to get a shot off before the buzzer ended the game.
The win was the seventh consecutive for Valparaiso (14-11, 7-5),including six in conference play. Milo Stovall scored 17 points off the bench for the Crusaders. Vujic, Lubos Barton, Jason Jenkins and Jared Nuness each added 8 points.
Nathan Binam led Oral Roberts with 17 points and Leon Irving and Reggie Tate added 11 apiece. The game featured 23 lead changes and seven ties, and neither team led by more than 4 points in the second half. Valpo had 38 rebounds compared to 24 for Oral Roberts, and 15 on offense.
