(Oklahoma City-AP) -- U-S Representative J-C Watts is fighting a federal decision that says religious broadcasting is not educational.
The Republican and more than 50 other House members are introducing the Religious Broadcasting Freedom Act to reverse a decision by the Federal Communications Commission.
The commission decided last month that religious broadcasts should not be counted as part of general educational programming.
Watts' bill would nullify the F-C-C decision and require the commission to take public comment and other measures if it regulates the area in the future.
