(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Death row inmate Loyd Winford Lafevers' request for a stay of execution has been denied by the state Court of Criminal Appeals. Lafevers was convicted of killing 84-year-old Addie Hawley of Oklahoma City in 1985. He is scheduled to be executed March 9th.
The appeals court ruled yesterday. Lafevers has asked the U-S Supreme Court to reconsider his case. He can ask for a stay if the Supreme Court decides to hear the case.
