(Undated-AP) -- Have plans for New Year's Eve?

Most Americans will greet Y-2-K from their own homes. Some of the more extravagant celebrations will happen at the Great Pyramids
in Egypt, the Parthenon in Greece or Times Square in New York.

Sydney, Australia, will bring in the New Year with a massive fireworks display.

In Cambodia, thousands will gather at the 800-year-old stone temples of Angkor Wat, one of Asia's greatest architectural wonders, for a show of traditional ballet and fireworks.

Peruvians will re-enact ancient purification rituals and offerings to the moon at an Incan stone fortress in the Andes.

And on Guam, worshippers will sing a native hymn seeking protection in the new year -- from among other things -- the Y-2-K bug.
