(Tulsa-AP) -- The federal jury continued its deliberations today in the civil trial against Koch Industries without a verdict.
A jury of four men and four women got the case yesterday morning. Deliberations have been recessed at 5 p-m each day.
The country's second-largest privately held company is accused of underreporting the amount and quality of oil it purchased from federal and Indian leases from 1985 through 1989.
Bill Koch filed the whistleblower lawsuit asking for 445-thousand dollars to be compensated to the government for 31-thousand federal claims Koch allegedly falsified by adjusting measurements in the company's favor. If the jury votes for the plaintiff, the company could be ordered to pay an additional 285 (M) million dollars in penalties.
