Stillwater Man Killed at Home

(Stillwater-AP) -- Stillwater police are searching for clues today in the shooting death of a local resident. Police say 25-year-old Floyd Thomas Paeyeneers was shot several times just before midnight at the front door of his home.

Police Captain Ron Thrasher says Paeyeneers and his wife, Jennifer, had received a knock on their door about 11 p-m last night. Thrasher says a man asked for money. But the couple refused and the man left. Police say there does not appear to have been a confrontation between the couple and the man at the time. Police say one hour later, Paeyeneers' wife was awakened by multiple gunshots. Thrasher says she called the police and found her husband lying near the front door.
