Broken Arrow police continue their investigation of a lewd molestation complaint against a middle school teacher. The teacher is in jail, accused of having sexual contact with one of her students. She is a veteran teacher and sponsor of the cheerleading squad. Police are interviewing current and former cheerleaders from Childers Middle School to see if they know anything about this case or other incidents involving their teacher.

33-year-old Cynthia Alexander, a teacher with more than ten years experience, was arrested on complaints that she had four sexual encounters with a middle school student. The arrest report states that the teacher allegedly touched the student in a vehicle while driving, in the school locker room in a locked classroom and in a movie theater. "Our investigators are continuing to talk with potential witnesses at the school,” said Broken Arrow police lieutenant David Adair. “We’re also speaking with people that were associates of our initial victim to see if we have any potential witnesses or any other potential victims."

Police are working now to bolster the initial case they presented to the district attorney. Up to now, investigators have found no additional victims. The arrest report states that Alexander admitted she intentionally touched the one student.

Although she taught in Broken Arrow, Alexander lived at a Tulsa apartment complex. Now she's suspended from her classroom and in jail. She is scheduled to be arraigned in court Monday morning.
