(Norman-AP) -- University of Oklahoma officials are releasing few details about a fraternity party that they say deteriorated into a brawl requiring police intervention.
A sketchy O-U police report says officers became concerned when the size of a crowd inside the O-U Armory during an after-party grew to about 800 people. The event was sponsored by Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.
Officials say a fight broke out on the west side of the armory and officers used pepper spray to subdue the crowd.
Police shut down the party and told people to leave. But another fight broke out on the north side of the armory and Norman police officers were called to the scene.
Officials say two people were injured and another was transported to Norman Regional Hospital and treated for a facial cut. Police said the incident, which occurred about 1 a-m Sunday, was alcohol-related.
O-U spokeswoman Catherine Bishop says Student Affairs is working with O-U-P-D to investigate the incident.
