(Ocean Springs, Mississippi-AP) -- Former Oklahoma coach Barry
Switzer is expanding his business partnership with Mississippi
native Scooter Yates.

They're looking at sites on the Gulf Coast for a restaurant.

The men are already in the fishing rod business. Now, they want
to build a Barry's Chicken Ranch between Ocean Springs and Gautier, Mississippi.

Their company -- Just Bird -- will open the first Chicken Ranch
on September seventh in Norman. A second restaurant is slated for
Lawton.

Switzer met Yates six years ago when Yates was managing director
of the Melrose Hotel in Dallas.

Barry's Chicken Ranch menu will have only two entrees: half a
fried chicken and chicken-fried Black Angus steak served on
platters.
