There is word some Cox Communications cable operations including here in Tulsa could soon switch hands.

The telecommunications giant says it's exploring the sale of four cable operations serving about 900,000 subscribers in several states. Among those states are Oklahoma and Texas.

The company says the sale is one option to reduce debt and accelerate growth.
